"Chrissy come out come out where ever you are." A scratchy rough cold voice. She shivered behind the counter hoping that Matt wouldn't find her. "I found you," his cold mean voice said, as he roughly grabbed her..
"No Matt! SOMEONE HELP!!!"
"Shut up, you bitch!" Matt threw Chrissy down on the couch and started to undo his pants.
"Matt. NO! NO!!!!!" Chrissy shot up drenched in a cold sweat.
My older sister Erin came running into her room. "Chrissy, what's wrong?" She saw her teary eyes and realized that she had had "the dream" again. " Oh, Chris. Come here." Erin pulled her into a hug. "Shhh. Calm down." She rocked Chrissy back and forth like a mother would her child. She brushed her long brown hair out of her face. Chrissy had been having the same dream since she heard that Matt would be getting released soon. "Shh, it's okay." Erin brushed her hair out of her face and bent down turning on the CD player. Nsync's "You Don't Have To Be Alone" filled the room. That song always calmed her down.
"Erin?"
"Yeah, Hun?"
"Will you stay with me tonight?"
"Yes I will." She walked over and shut off the lights. Chrissy jumped when the room went black.
Erin walked over and pulled the multi-colored duvet back, sliding underneath the warm baby blue silky sheets next to her. "You can come with me to work tomorrow. I'll call your school tomorrow telling them you are sick and can't make it."
"Thanks Erin."
Erin kissed her lightly on the forehead. "You're welcome. Now try to get some sleep."
" I'll..I'll try."
"Chrissy it's okay. The doors and everything are locked up tight. No one is going to get you. You're safe."
" I.I know, but I'm still scared."
" I know you are Chrissy but you don't have to worry. He's not gonna get you again. I won't let him."
She sighed. "I just wish he would be in jail longer instead of being released in a couple of weeks." My whole body shivered at the thought.
Don't' think about it. Just listen to the music."
"Okay." Chrissy relaxed and listened to the angelic voices of Nsync.
"Goodnight Chrissy. I love you."
"Goodnight Erin. I love you too. And thanks."
"That's what I'm here for." Chrissy closed her eyes and finally drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
